PANICE

- Any system can be promoted or sold with the unspecific name of "Water Purifier", but only specifying its correct function (example: water softener)

- Is required the presence of a counter before the system and of a water points before and after the appliance.

- Is required the presence of an automatic or manual
by-pass.

- Is required the presence of a check valve on the suction.

- All water softener must be furnished of a system that guarantee the automatic regeneration every four days.

- All water softener must be furnished of an automatic disinfection system of the resins that go in function during the regeneration of that.

- All water softener must be furnished of a hard / soft water mixer because that maintain the hardness in the use point.

Necessary Parameters:

1. Hardness of the water (°F)
2. Daily water consumption (for domestic use: about 150-200 Lt/day/person)
3. Time interval between two regenerations (Max 4).

Example of Choose:

- Hardness 40°F
- Daily consumption: 4 persons for 200 lt: 800 lt/day (0,8 m3/day)
- Days between two regenerations: 3

We will have: (40°F x 10 (fixed number)) x (0,8 m3/day x 3 day) = (400 x 2,4) / 55 (fixed number) = 17,5 lt/resin.

Our system will must contain 18 lt/resin for can regenerate every 3 days

How Calculate the Salt Consumption & the Volume of Brine Necessary for the Regeneration:

1. The fixed number 55 match with a consumption of 150 gr of NaCl for liter of resin.
So: gr 150 x 18 lt/resin = 2700 gr = Kg 2,7 of NaCl.
2. For melt 1 Kg of salt are necessary 3 lt of water.
So: Kg 2,7 x 3 = 8,1 lt of water.
